Our History

St. Gerard Majella Catholic Secondary School Katsina-Ala was established in the year 1982 by Rev.Fr Michael Murphy C.S.Sp. and named St. Gerard Catholic Day Secondary School Katsina-Ala. The school was grant aided in 1995 by the Benue State government. In the year 2012, when the boarding system was introduced by Mr. Yese, G.G., the name changed again to St. Gerard’s Catholic Secondary School Katsina-Ala. With the creation of Katsina-Ala Catholic Diocese, and the transformation that followed, the inclusion of Majella in the school name became necessary. It is thus: called St. Gerard Majella Catholic Secondary School, Katsina-Ala. The school is co-educational and operates both day and Boarding systems.
